The biggest and the most important book fair in the Baltic countries - International Vilnius Book Fair is the main annual meeting place of publishers, book sellers, writers and reading public, it is a well-known cultural activity in Lithuania, important event for both, book-lovers and the trade.

The International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano and Organ Competition was held in Vilnius on September 14-23, 2011; an event that traditionally, every four years, invites to Lithuania performers from all over the world. In 2011, the Competition marked the 100th death anniversary of the world-renowned musician and painter M. K. Čiurlionis (1875–1911).

Lithuania will be the Guest of Honour Country of the 48th Bologna Children’s Book Fair, to be held on 28-31 March 2011.

The International Cultural Programme Centre continues the projects of "Books from Lithuania" and invites to participate in Translation Subsidy and Sample Translation Subsidy Programmes.

The Department for the Promotion of Culture of the International Cultural Programme Centre (ICPC) has put together a collection of 10 documentary and 10 Lithuanian feature films, which keep with the best traditions of Lithuania’s cinema heritage.

Travelling exhibitions prepared by the Lithuanian Institute encompass all areas of visual and applied arts and present the most outstanding Lithuanian artists and works of art. The exhibitions include collections of art objects (jewellery, design, book illustrations, graphics, drawings, photography, etc) as well as personal exhibitions by individual artists, which are displayed around the world.
